Dear customer, We are pleased to announce that we have sold our business to James Latham plc. James Latham have been trading in Ireland, North and South for more than 10 years. They acquired hardwood distributor, Abbey Woods back in 2019 and followed that with the purchase of the stock and sales team of Tradewoods located in Naul. Up to now they have been servicing the Irish panel product market from their branch in Leeds and the acquisition of IJK Timber Group will give them opportunities to grow and develop business in Ireland. Commenting on the acquisition, Nick Latham, Chairman of James Latham, said: "We are delighted to have acquired IJK which will allow us to increase our panel product and timber offering in Northern Ireland.” Peter and I will continue to manage the business under the trading names IJK Timber Group and Northern Hardwood. We are excited about how James Latham can improve this business in terms of adding new products and management expertise. When we bought IJK in 2004, we considered James Latham to be the market leader in panel product distribution.
